About The Client

Macy’s Kitchen and Cafe, opened on January 1, 2019, in La Villa, TX, is a local restaurant and caterer specializing in delicious Mexican cuisine. The team at Macy’s Kitchen is dedicated to creating amazing dining experiences for people of all ages and backgrounds. Despite the challenges posed by Covid-19, Macy’s Kitchen remained open, thanks to the loyalty of its customers.

The Challenge

The Covid-19 pandemic posed significant challenges for Macy’s Kitchen, just a year after its opening. Despite the difficulties, the restaurant managed to stay open. As the business continued to grow, Marisela needed additional funding to move Macy’s Kitchen to a larger location, covering moving costs and setting up the new space for expanded operations.

The Solution

Big Think Capital provided the necessary funding to facilitate the move to a bigger location. This support allowed Macy’s Kitchen to cover moving costs and get set up in a new, larger space, enabling them to serve more customers with an expanded dining room.

“When Covid-19 happened just a short year after opening, I really thought we might go under. Thanks to our loyal customers, we were able to keep the doors open during those difficult times – even when the pandemic was in full force. With the help of Big Think Capital, we are moving Macy’s Kitchen and Cafe into a bigger location. The funds will help us cover moving costs and getting set up in our new space to operate a larger dining room.”
